Kennedy’s Bush

Our brief was to create a warm and welcoming home for a family that often entertains. We were asked to inco-operate varying timbers into the interior, which was very challenging to not compete or overpower one another. We wanted to capture a lightness and sense of Scandinavian style.

Our aim was to create a highly functional and practical kitchen internally and externally with a welcoming presence when one enters the room. The natural light enters through the landscape window in the kitchen and large sliding doors to the outdoor entertaining. The bespoke light was specially designed to cast enough light over the Island considering its extreme stud heights.

One of the major requirements was to create a highly functional, flowing space between the kitchen, scullery, living room and outdoor entertaining and dining areas whilst hiding the fridge/freezer. The exquisite American Oak timber revels were carefully factored into the overall scheme and beautifully detailed in the kitchen finishes and throughout the interior.

The simplicity in design and attention to detail creates a wonderful canvas to add the owner’s personality. The combination of finishes specified and placement of appliances featured all evoke a sense of style and simplicity within the space, creating a wonderful and highly functional kitchen experience.
